March 18
ACP
Magazines is delighted to announce the appointment of Elizabeth Renkert as the
new editor of madison
magazine.
Renkert has been
the Acting Editor of madison for the last two months and prior to this
was the magazine's Managing Editor since the
brand’s launch five years ago. Renkert has considerable experience on women’s
magazines, having worked at Marie Claire
for nine years before joining madison
in 2004.
“I’m
honoured to be given this role,” said Renkert. “madison
is a product I know and love and I'm excited about working on its future
development."
Phil
Scott, Group Publishing Director, ACP Magazines said: “We’re thrilled with
Elizabeth’s appointment and with the continued success of the madison
brand. Elizabeth has always impressed us with her vision and we look forward to
seeing the magazine develop further under her direction.”
As
well as being one of ACP's flagship titles, madison
is also a joint venture with Hearst Magazines.
“We're
very happy with madison's
achievements over the past five years. It's such an iconic Australian masthead
and we're confident that the brand will continue to gain momentum under
Elizabeth's editorship," said Kim St. Clair Bodden, Vice President/Executive
Director, Hearst Magazines International.
Renkert’s appointment is
effective immediately and comes as the result of Paula Joye’s resignation in
December.
