ACP announces new Editor-in-Chief for AWW

ACP Magazines today announced the appointment of Helen McCabe as Editor-in-Chief of its flagship title, The Australian Women’s Weekly.

McCabe will join The Weekly from News Limited where for the last three years she has been Deputy Editor on The Sunday Telegraph.

Announcing the appointment, Lynette Phillips, Publishing & Sales Director - Women’s Lifestyle said Helen McCabe’s appointment was an “exciting development for The Australian Women’s Weekly.”

Ms Phillips said “Helen’s extensive media experience includes a range of roles in mainstream journalism including Night Editor on The Australian and Assistant Editor on The Daily Telegraph. She also worked for the Seven Network for ten years and is currently host of a regular segment on Sky News.”

She said “we believe Helen has an ideal media background to provide the direction and editorial depth that the magazine needs.”

By mutual agreement Robyn Foyster will finish as Editor-in-Chief- of The Australian Women’s Weekly. Phillips said “We wish to thank Robyn for her contribution. She is a fine person of great integrity and we wish her well.”

Deborah Thomas will continue her role in The Australian Women’s Weekly as Consulting Editor.
