CLEO relaunches and adds hot editorial team

CLEO magazine has announced a re-launch, with an innovative redesign and an exciting new editorial line-up. Alongside an increase in booksize, the magazine has signed-up Aileen Marr as the new Fashion Director and Pip Edwards as Contributing Fashion Editor.
The October issue, on sale September 21 and supported by a TV ad campaign, will feature more fashion pages up front, introduce new sections and launch more beauty pages, including a market-first beauty panel.
“CLEO will have greater editorial substance while maintain our famous cheeky and confident nature. We are signalling an even stronger focus on fashion and will have plenty of great value tip-ons for our readers to ensure we stay top of mind when it comes to what’s new and what’s hot,” said CLEO editor Sarah Oakes.
Other new contributors include Peaches Geldof and Ruby Rose.
Fashion will be spearheaded by Aileen Marr who has over 15 years of experience in fashion. Marr recently relocated to Sydney from New York where she was a freelance stylist and consultant, contributing to publications including American Glamour, American Vogue, Teen Vogue, Australian ELLE , British i-D, Martha Stewart and New York Times.
Marr has worked with a who’s who of fashion photographers around the world and has styled campaigns for Apple, L’Oreal, Bergdorf Goodman, Gap and Polo Sport as well as television commercials for Nike and Avon.
New Contributing Fashion Editor Edwards is a high-profile fashion identity in Australia. She has previously worked as not only a designer for Ksubi but also the PR and Communications manager for this world-famous brand.
Edwards has also worked for a range of fashion titles and brands like Absolut and RM Williams. She is currently designing an accessories range for Sass & Bide.
Oakes added: “Both Aileen and Pip are formidable additions to our fashion team. Boasting incredible portfolios, their experience and knowledge will ensure the magazine remains at the forefront of fashion for CLEO readers. We’re thrilled to have them on board.”
